DALLAS, TEXAS: Paramount+ will present the gruesome case of serial killer Billy Chemirmir in the upcoming true-crime series “Pillowcase Murders.”

The Kenyan-American man preyed on white older women living in luxury retirement communities until he was convicted and ultimately murdered.

Billy Chemirmir was a Kenyan-born man convicted of murdering two people and accused of killing about twenty others over a two-year period. WFAA.

She targeted elderly women by gaining access to their homes by posing as a medical professional or maintenance person, suffocating them with a pillow and stealing their jewelry and other valuables.

He was arrested in 2018 after a 91-year-old woman survived an attack and reported him to authorities. Police found him in the parking lot of his apartment complex with jewelry and cash he had stolen from his victims.

Police also seized a jewelry box that led them to 81-year-old Lu Thi Harris, who was found dead in her bedroom.

Although Chemirmir maintained his innocence, he was found guilty of murder in the case of Harris’ death and was later convicted in another trial of the murder of Mary Brooks, aged 87.

As authorities re-examined numerous deaths of elderly women previously classified as natural, they began to uncover links. Ultimately, Billy Chemirmir was indicted on 22 counts of capital murder. Billy was sentenced to life in prison in April 2022.

On September 19, 2023, Chemirmir, age 50, was found dead in his prison cell at the Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, Anderson County, Texas.

According to the Fox News report, he was murdered by his cellmate, Wyatt Busby, who is serving a 50-year prison sentence in a murder case.

The report citing the attorney general’s death report states that Billy was killed with a “knife/sharp instrument.”

According to WFAA, Chemirmir made sexual comments about his cellmate’s children. In a fit of rage, Busby dragged him from his cell and killed him as other prisoners watched.

Paramount+’s ‘Pillowcase Murders’ presents the chilling case of Billy Chemirmir in three episodes. The series, directed by true crime filmmaker Randy Ferrell, shows how he operated for two years without getting caught.

It will also shed light on security lapses that allowed him to continue killing as the death toll in Texas increased.

The official synopsis reads: “When dozens of women die unexpectedly in Senior Living Communities, no one suspects that a diabolical sociopath has made mass murder his day job.”
