Anthony Middle School has a new shopping center on campus and is providing the community with FREE clothing!

During the spring, students and staff collected clothing from others in the community to add to their Claw Mall. This community closet is a way for students to provide those in need with free clothing they need for a job, job interviews, or any other special occasion that requires business attire that people sometimes cannot afford.

The “Claw Mall” has items such as sneakers, women’s professional shoes, button-up shirts, men’s ties and T-shirts, baby clothes and more.

“Our biggest message is always about how we can help you and what we can do for you. That includes the campus, so hopefully this applies to our community as well. If anyone needs anything for an interview, come see us because that’s what we’re here for,” said Anthony Middle School Principal Jose De La Torre.

The closet is a way for the students to give back to their community, but it also teaches these young students some important life skills.

“Every item of clothing has been washed and disinfected by students and staff,” school officials said.

The “Claw Mall” is something locals can use when they need clothes and it is also a way to encourage locals to dress for success!

Community members interested in visiting the Claw Mall should make a shopping appointment during regular school hours by calling (915) 886-6530.
Donations to Claw Mall will be made on a rolling basis and will be accepted Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Anthony Middle School.

Safe to Secure Our Future is in good hands with young students like those who helped put together this community cupboard. Well done students and well done teachers and Anthony ISD school staff!
