Red Line T cars derail in Castle Shannon, transit officials say

Pittsburgh Regional Transit officials said there were about 15 people aboard two train cars when they derailed Monday afternoon.

It happened at around 4pm while traveling inbound on the outbound tracks along the Red Line at Willow Station in Castle Shannon. PRT said via Xformerly Twitter.

No injuries have been reported. There were delays in services.

PRT officials said all traffic on the Red Line will use the inbound tracks. Travelers should expect delays until the cars can be put back on the track and put into service.
