The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has issued a warning to motorists traveling eastbound and westbound on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and to motorists approaching northbound and southbound I-95 in Bristol Township.

For those traveling in the Delaware Valley Interchange (Exit 42) area, Turnpike officials advised drivers to prepare for slow-moving and stopped traffic on Tuesday, May 14 from 12:05 a.m. to 5 a.m.

This area will see occasional 15-minute traffic stops to ensure the safety of motorists and workers while crews make bridge repairs, officials said.

The bridge under construction will carry I-95 traffic over Green Lane.

During the shutdowns, Turnpike maintenance and Pennsylvania State Police will limit Turnpike traffic to speeds of 20 to 25 miles per hour.

Drivers traveling on I-276 and I-95 in Bucks County are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

Pennsylvania State Police and Turnpike personnel will be stationed in affected areas to assist drivers.

Information boards will also provide information about closures and diversions.

Officials noted that work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions.
