Just over two weeks after being selected No. 7 overall by the Tennessee Titans, former Alabama tackle JC Latham has agreed to a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $26.04 million.

Latham started every game at right tackle for the Crimson Tide in 2022 and 2023, and was an AP Second Team All-American selection in 2023. As the second-highest drafted lineman in the draft, he is expected to competing for Tennessee’s left tackle job.

Latham completely passes the eye test at 6’6, 242 pounds. He had a whopping 41 knockdown blocks in his 2023 campaign and is truly an elite prospect. While some concerns have been raised about Latham’s perceived lack of lateral quickness, the consensus among scouts and analysts is that he has more than enough strength and agility to make up for it.

Latham is now the face of a Titans offensive line that has struggled significantly in recent years. With a young QB in Will Levis and a talented running back tandem of Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, the expectation is that Latham can be a day one starter who elevates his entire unit and helps Tennessee compete in the AFC South.
