Green Bay Packers Coach Reveals Why He Chose to Return for 2024

The Green Bay Packers believe they are in a very good position to make the playoffs in 2024. Just a full year since the Packers decided to trade away four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they could even take a shot at becoming Super Bowl Contenders.

One coach recognizes what is happening in Green Bay and wants to commit to it.

According to Vinnie Portell of FanSided:

Packers fans now know that quarterbacks coach Tom Clements is a big reason why Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love have had so much success.

And it says a lot about the current state of the Packers and why Clements had little hesitation in committing to another season despite being 70 years old.

“I’m at the point where it’s year-to-year,” Clements told reporters this offseason. “The way we finished the season, it really wasn’t that hard of a process to decide to come back. “

This is big news for Green Bay fans because Love isn’t a fully polished NFL starter yet, but that could happen soon.

The Packers offense could be terrifyingly good in 2024

There is a lot of confidence among the Packers heading into the 2024 season. Jon Runyan, David Bakhtiari and Aaron Jones are the only three offensive starters from opening day last season who are not back.

Rasheed Walker took Bakhtiari’s place in 17 games (including playoffs) after his injury in Week 1. Jones has been replaced by former All-Pro Josh Jacobs. All of their top pass catchers have returned. However, they all now have a year of experience catching Love’s passes under LaFleur’s offense.

A few offensive concerns could be filled by rookies Jordan Morgan and MarShawn Lloyd.

‘Oh, it’s day and night. Day and night, because last year when we went into the draft, we had maybe three receivers on the roster. We had two tight ends,” offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said Monday.

“It was just one of those things where you didn’t really know what direction you could go in yet, because you didn’t really know who was going to be on your team and what skills they had. Even going into camp and going into the season, it was the same deal as, how much can you put on these guys’ plates and allow them to go out and execute?

So now everyone has had a year, so to speak. It was great to know what these guys are good at, what they need to improve on and to just let them do their thing and become the best players they can be.”
