West Jefferson Police said the male suspect fled the scene to an unknown location and are currently trying to find him.

“The unknown suspect has left the area for an unknown location,” the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook.

The suspect has been identified by police as someone who works at the facility, ABC affiliate WSYX reported.

It is unclear whether the suspect is a former or current Amazon employee.

Police have not released the suspect’s name.

The suspect “fired multiple shots” at the CMH5 Amazon fulfillment center.

“There were bullet holes in the front door and the glass,” the police chief said, according to WSYX.

“They didn’t get any further than the front of the building.”

People were removed from the building with the help of police and some were able to get into their cars to leave.

There is currently a heavy police presence at the fulfillment center.

Four other separate police units also responded to the scene, according to WSYX.

This includes the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Plain City Police Department and the London Police Department.
